We are talking about the “sales” game—time to look around to see who has the best sales on the best gaming laptop 2017. If you’re gamer, you know you want super power and the best of the best laptop for the least. But then the price may not be an issue so what else is important to you?
What’s Important To You
Display quality may be worth paying extra. The size determined by the laptop’s design may not be as important, but the resolution is really important to most gamers. Most gaming laptops have standard 1920 x 1080 full HD, and that may be enough, but it’s not the highest available. I’m sure you gamers would say graphics is key to a great playing experience. The GPU has to be powerful, but it will cost you to have one of the newer and faster graphic cards such as NVIDIA’s updated version.
Bigger the Better
If you its high performance you want, you don’t necessarily need a CPU like Core i7, but most gaming laptops have them as well as lots of RAMs. And of course, the more RAM, the better. What about hard drive size and speed? Again, the bigger, the better for holding all those games. A high RPM or SSD will load faster and be better for performance. But when it comes to the design of your laptop, bigger is not better.
Go for something less than five pounds and that you can easily take with you anywhere. But be careful not to go too light because it doesn’t leave room for the best hardware and a better cooling system, which will be important if you play for hours on end.
Portability and Connectivity
If you take your gaming with you a lot, you will need a good battery. Most only last three to four hours while gaming. It’s wise to have two batteries so you can charge one and use one. There are lots of products to add to your gaming to make you competitive.
Make sure you have at least a USB 3.0 port or better yet the USB Type-C to be faster for any peripheral you want. You may also want an HDMI port to connect a larger monitor. Most gaming laptops feature Wi-Fi 802.11ac as the latest standard, which you will want to give you a better signal but if you want fast, stick to having a wired connection like Gigabit Ethernet at 1000MB per second.
